Discover Our Story

our story

Our journey to Banyandah Homestead, was one that developed over many decades. Our family has always lived in this beautiful part of world and for a long time we lived and raised our children on the adjoining farm. It was a wonderful upbringing and lifestyle for our family; driving the paddock bomb to catch the school bus, early mornings spent feeding calves, many days spent cleaning up the forest floor, wide open spaces and fishing on the lake.

When our children grew up, we left the area to pursue other businesses but our hearts always longed to be back where we truly felt home and to finish our dream.

Over the years the farming land where Banyandah sits was mostly left untouched, except for the grazing of cattle or sleep on the prosperous pasture. We knew the property was privately owned, and made many attempts to acquire it before the opportunity eventually arose when we were close to giving up.

It was the best decision we made and has become our little piece of heaven. We have worked so hard to develop this beautiful property into the amazing venue we knew it could be and feel very honored to now be able to share it with some very special people on their most important day.

We named the farm ‘Banyandah’ Homstead, which is the aboriginal word for ‘home on the water’. Our beautiful home on the water.

Now we can finally see our vision being fulfilled and we feel so proud. We hope you love every moment as much as we do.
